Breaking the Silence 05/18/2010
I've been so excited about playing with the band (The Pushovers) these last few months that I've been a bit absent here. So what has re-focused my attention? A glowing review from Tom Goss at The Acoustic District!! I'll be integrating it into the website soon, but the full text is pasted below. Oh, and I've got some great shows coming up with the band in June at Baltimore Pride and Sidewalk Cafe in NYC. Thanks so much for your support! Hope to see you soon! -Nancy --------------------- On The Inside Nancy Eddy On The Inside, the aptly entitled debut CD from singer-songwriter Nancy Eddy, gives you an intimate look into the mind, heart and soul of someone searching, longing, for something bigger than what we see. As a whole the album is sparsely yet beautifully arranged, leaving ample space for Nancy's voice to shine through. And shine it does, honed and delicate, evoking Joni Mitchell and the sweetest of memories. As beautiful as Nancy’s voice is, what really separates On The Inside from the rest is the intimacy and unabashed honesty in which each song is written. As a listener you have no doubt that each word sung is etched on the heart behind Nancy's voice. Standout tracks include Can’t Hold On a heat-wrenching song about family, loss and disharmony, Fall Like Stars and Gravity, accompanied with beautiful harmonies and backing vocals reminiscent of early Seal. At 8 tracks, On The Inside will leave you wanting more. A very good problem to have… Pick up the CD at – www.cdbaby.com/nancyeddy Tom Goss The Acoustic District CommentsRobynne Kamidoi 06/23/2010 16:18:38 Nancy, Leave a Reply | Updates
