On The Inside, the aptly entitled debut CD from singer-songwriter Nancy Eddy, gives you an intimate look into the mind, heart and soul of someone searching, longing, for something bigger than what we see.

As a whole the album is sparsely yet beautifully arranged, leaving ample space for Nancy's voice to shine through.  And shine it does, honed and delicate, evoking Joni Mitchell and the sweetest of memories.

Nancy]]>Tue, 15 Sep 2009 12:59:02 -0800http://www.nancyeddymusic.com/1/post/2009/09/cd-released.htmlIt's been a busy month!  I released my first album, On the Inside, and the CD release went better than I could have ever imagined.  We had a great crowd for the first show and the second sold out--they literally turned away folks at the door.  I was overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from friends, family and complete strangers.  Thanks to The Corner Store and Kris Swanson for creating such a beautiful space.  I felt completely welcomed and a part of the family from the moment I walked in the door.  For those who couldn't make it out, The Corner Store is an inspiring nonprofit art space in the Eastern Market/Capitol Hill area of DC. They have shows and art installations of all types.

My CDs have been selling well and I'm getting a lot of positive feedback.  Hopefully I'll have a review or two posted here soon so you don't have to take my word for it!

Mary Cliff's gave the album some airtime on her show on 88.5 WAMU,  Traditions.   I grew up listening to Traditions when it was on 90.9 and I'm so excited to have music I created go across the same airwaves...

and congrats to my softball team, the Outfielders, who won 26 to 11!!!  what does that make it...2 games in 3 years?  what does it say about my skills that i couldn't make the game and you won by a mile.. was i really holding you back that much?!?  thanks to all who dropped by after the game!

so lots of folks are asking about the cd release, and believe me when i tell you that i will let you know when i get a final date.  august is the current plan.  i'm going to try my best, or as they say in japan "ganbarimasu"!
