CD Released! 09/15/2009
It's been a busy month! I released my first album, On the Inside, and the CD release went better than I could have ever imagined. We had a great crowd for the first show and the second sold out--they literally turned away folks at the door. I was overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from friends, family and complete strangers. Thanks to The Corner Store and Kris Swanson for creating such a beautiful space. I felt completely welcomed and a part of the family from the moment I walked in the door. For those who couldn't make it out, The Corner Store is an inspiring nonprofit art space in the Eastern Market/Capitol Hill area of DC. They have shows and art installations of all types. My CDs have been selling well and I'm getting a lot of positive feedback. Hopefully I'll have a review or two posted here soon so you don't have to take my word for it! Mary Cliff's gave the album some airtime on her show on 88.5 WAMU, Traditions. I grew up listening to Traditions when it was on 90.9 and I'm so excited to have music I created go across the same airwaves... Thanks for all of the support! Hope to see you at a show soon!
